Well I have been a total blog slacker but I have good reason! We made the very hard and very sad decision to sell our house in Missoula and head back to SoCal where the job market (surprisingly enough) is better for both Adam and I. It was very hard to leave Missoula but moving day was eased greatly by a call from the Joint Sciences Dept at the Claremont Colleges offering me a position as a visiting assistant professor!
Upon closing on the Missoula house we sent our belongings in a big truck to Socal while Adam and I and the boys drove to the Eastern Sierras for my annual field season in Lee Vining and Tioga Pass. Here are some pics of us playing in the snow at the pass.
After five weeks of bird chasing and tons of grandparent help it is time to pack up our Lee Vining lives and actually move to socal. We leave on Sunday and Emmet is far from amused that we are moving .... again!
Thanks so Grandmas Jessica, Connie, and Mel and Grandpa Dean for making yet another field season possible for this working mama!

Woke up to it snowing this morning. SoCal sounds wonderful right now. Sawyer is so round and sweet I want to eat him up through my computer!
Welcome back to CA, Jessica. Hope to see you soon. I'm looking forward to seeing Emmet again and meeting Sawyer one of these days.
