Here are some first day home photos of Baby Malisch. He had slightly elevated biliruben scores at the hospital so we have been giving him short sun baths that have helped keep him from becoming jaundice. Baby Emmet has had a shocking number of similarities between his first days of life and those of his Uncle Josh's. Elevated biliruben is just one of them. Others involve large bowel movements (biggest our nurse has ever seen). It was so big that when it "erupted" it went all over the nurse, bassinet, the floor.... need I go on? The nurse had to go home and change her uniform! And yes, this is the same thing that Uncle Josh did when he was only hours old. It was the one time I was happy to be stuck in bed!
