We began the final leg of the summer road trips in Santa Rosa CA (see previous blogs) at Grandma Elaine's house (my Mother-in-law) where we also visited with Grandpa Tim (my Father-in-law) and Grandma Jessica (my Step-Mother-in-law). We will conclude the road trip with a stop in Idaho at Eliza's in laws, as such this leg of the trip (and final stretch back to Missoula) is affectionately titled "The In-Law Road Trip". And here are scenes from day one (or there abouts).

Our first stop, Truckee CA. Don't mock us for only making it here on day one, it was hard to get everything in the Bronco and all of us out the door. The car occupants included, Me, Mr. Emmet Pants, Eliza (friend and co-Emmet wrangler)and Nyala. I could barely fit Emmet, our field stuff, and I in the Bronco to get to Santa Rosa. Add to that one dog, one dog crate, dog supplies, one Eliza (she is tiny, took up no room at all), and Eliza's luggage. It was a squeeze!
We had dinner at the Truckee diner, it was all we hope it would be and more. Six thumbs up from the human occupants of the Bronco.
Can I get gravy on my mashed potatoes????

I like the sign over your head that reads, "Caution: Low Head Room". Is Low the name of Max's cousin?

what a cute sequence of emmet photos :)! your house is still standing, btw. did you take it off the market or get an offer? the for sale sign is gone! (i try to walk by there periodically to make sure everything's okay)

okay, me again, but i have to add that i love the picture of crazy grandpa tim holding crazy emmet! very amusing. very framable.
