The whole family went out to get some errands done today. First we hit the mall to get an outfit for my dissertation defense (on Thursday, eek), then we got shoes and clothes for Dad. Dad would not let Mom (me) go into the babies stores:( I guess Emmet does have plenty of clothes but it is so fun to get more! Later we went to the pet store to get more fish for the pond. Emmet loved looking at all the fish tanks and cages of animals. I wonder how long we can convince him that the pet store is the zoo! He did really well and was admired by many. Folks at the pet store were very impressed that he was only three months old because there was a five and half monther there and he was about half Emmet's size. He is a healthy boy!

good luck on your defense! i'm sad that y'all are finishing up and are going to be moving far far away, but that's badass that you're almost done.
oh, and emmet looks REALLY happy in the bjorn :).
