Day of the Dead Parade

Missoula has a truly awesome Day of the Dead Parade. We were lucky enough to get to see the parade despite a sick cranky baby, despite it being well past his bedtime, and despite the rain. And to top it all off, our good friend was in town and it was her birthday!! Happy Birthday Kim!Kim, Emmet, and I waiting under an overhang waiting for the rain to stop and or the parade to start.Emmet shakes off the cold rain and gets his clap on as the parade approaches, what a sport!
People doing the thriller dance, awesome!!! I should have taken a video.

Skeletal rhino.
The parade participants handed out goodies! I scored a huckleberry cookie and a sugar skull.

End of parade smooch. I think the rain actually made the parade more fun, certainly more memorable.

Hmmm, that last picture makes me wonder when Emmet will be getting that baby brother/sister....

I'd be wary of strangers handing out huckleberry cookies at Parade of the Dead.

I am actually envying your heavy coat, scarf, and umbrella! It's just not right being 90 degrees in November.

Reminds me of trick-or-treating at our neighborhood parade in the pouring rain. I agree, memorable indeed and still hella fun!
